It’s getting better all the time….

It's getting

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!

I am ecstatic to report that in the last 2-3 weeks, Arielle’s cancer count has gone from 5,000 down to 523!

This is the best, most fabulous news ever!  We are over the moon!

We’re also confident that when she goes to see Prof next week, that he too will be pleased as punch by this news and he’ll say those four beautiful words again, “No need for Chemo!’

Life is quite funny really…  and it has a way of kicking you in the ass and reminding you of what’s REALLY important.  Even I (after everything we went through the past 4 months) had fallen back into that same old routine of worrying.  Worrying about money, worrying about a job, worrying about what to do with my life, worrying about finding a place to live. Worrying about this, that and the other thing.

Today’s news had reminded me yet again, of what’s really important in this life and it’s so freaking simple!  The only thing that really matters is the health, happiness and wellbeing of the people people we love and care about.  That’s it.  Everything else is just noise.

So go home, kiss your wife, hug your husband, tell your kids how much you love them send a friend a note and tell them how much you appreciate them in your life,  give that homeless man a pound.  Smile and know that if you have people in your life that you love and care about, you have everything.

I have everything.

  1. It is clear Meliss, the lighter spirit in which you write today. And I can only imagine, and not very well Im sure, what is going on in Arielle’s heart and mind…and all that love her. But definitely a sense that a very dark and heavy cloud has moved on. May the Lord of All keep that cloud far away…for the rest of her life. Amen

    1. Well thank you Mrs Rosenberg…. and right back at ya! I think about all the fun (and strife) we both experienced way back when and I too am thankful that I had a shoulder to cry on and as my partner in crime. And that you again for all your prayers that helped (and are helping ) Arielle get through this challenge. Love ya, xxxx
